Problem

These are some notable drawbacks which users, stakeholders and business analysts have raised;

  • lack of streamlined inventory management led to stockout, overstocking, and inefficient fulfilment processes

  • lack of insights into market trends and competitor activities

  • struggle to make informed decisions regarding pricing strategies

  • missed opportunities to capitalise on emerging market trends and customer preferences


Result

Project is still ongoing, but we are already seeing 65% increase in visibility from usability testing.

Goal

The goal of the project was to redesign and enhance the AdeHot’s Inventory Management Platform to streamline inventory tracking, optimize restocking processes, and provide actionable market insights.

Previous User Flow and Dashboard Overview

The previous user flow and dashboard of the AdeHot Inventory Management Platform were functional but lacked intuitive design and efficiency. Users faced challenges in tracking inventory levels, managing restocking, and obtaining market insights. The interface was cluttered, and critical features were not easily accessible, leading to frustration and inefficiencies in daily operations. impacting overall user satisfaction and operational effectiveness

The previous dashboard of the AdeHot’s Inventory Management Platform exhibited functional capabilities but lacked intuitive design and user-friendly navigation. Users encountered difficulties in efficiently tracking inventory levels, managing restocking processes, and accessing crucial market insights. Hence, the need to improve the usability to better support e-commerce sellers in their daily operations.

During the discovery process, I created personas of emerging market users to help the team get into the shoes of our potential users. Users from different parts of the world, with different life experiences and backgrounds. The goal was to get our stakeholders to empathise and resonate where possible with this audience and to bear them in mind when considering business objectives.
